FAQs

Q: What is Holistic Abdominal Therapy?

A: Non-invasive, external work on the abdominal region. Systematic approach to loosening adhered structures in the abdominal region. Sessions do include loosening of other structures such as the upper legs, sacrum, and back. This protocol also works to improve the circulatory and lymphatic system while also calming the nervous system.

Q: Why is sales tax part of the the charge?

A: Massage therapy is still considered a service not unlike getting your nails or hair done. Our business is required to pay sales tax so we charge the required sales tax for our county.

Q: How frequently should I get massage?

A: This depends entirely on the individual’s goals, needs, and desires. More frequent can often get to a desired resolution quicker. Some seek massage work for more general wellness reasons, which looks different for everyone: biweekly, monthly, every other month, only when “needed.” If you have further questions, feel free to discuss this with the therapist.

Q: Is the therapist licensed or certified?

A: Minnesota currently does not have a state-wide licensure. The therapist received her massage education from the accredited Northwestern Health Sciences University and does voluntary continuing education to stay current with the profession.
